About the Author:
Liangcheng LIU, a Chinese writer from Xinjiang. He is the author of the poetry collection “The Sun on the Yellow Sand Ridge(《晒晒黄沙梁的太阳》)”, the essay collections “A Village of One’s Own(《一个人 的村庄》)” and “In Xinjiang(《在新疆》)”, the novels “Drifting Soil(《虚土》)” and “Hallowed Out(《凿 空》”. Many of his articles are included in national Chinese textbooks for middle and high schools and universities. He won the sixth Lu Xun Literary Award. In 2013, he moved to Mu Lei, Xinjiang, where he founded the Caizigou Artist Village and Mu Lei Academy(菜籽沟艺术家村落及木垒书院), serving as its president.
